Prepared chicken cutlets after a very long time. Usually I try new recipes with chicken - gravy or dry. This time I decided to use it to make cutlets as it had been a long time since I made them, and ....... to be honest, it was evening, there weren't any snacks/biscuits anywhere in the house and I was pretty hungry :O
I had already planned to make a kerala style chicken curry ( will post soon ) and so I decided to take some of the boneless pieces and prepare this snack so that I wouldn't have to wait for dinner time to eat something.
Boneless chicken - 200 gms
Potato - 1 big - boiled and mashed
Curry leaves - few - fried and crushed
Garam masala powder - 1/4 tsp
Jeera powder - a pinch
Egg - 1
Cornflour - 1 or 2 tbsp
The chicken I used here was already marinated with chicken masala powder, salt and ginger garlic paste. You can marinate with the spice of your choice. Cook this chicken in a cooker or in the oven. I fried them ( needed fried pieces for the curry recipe ) and minced them in the mixer. In a bowl, add the minced chicken and rest of the ingredients, mix well. Make small balls from this mixture, flatten them a little in your hand and fry them in hot oil.
