Babycorn Manchurian

After the babycorn pulav, I wanted to make something interesting, again, but ended up cooking the usual manchurian that I usually do.

Ingredients
  1. Baby corn - 10 pcs - cut diagonally
  2. Onion - 1 - chopped
  3. Capsicum - 1/2 of one - chopped
  4. Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  5. Green chillies - 2 - chopped
  6. Soya sauce - 1 tsp
  7. Tomato sauce - 1 tbsp
  8. Coriander leaves - for garnish
  9. Lime juice - 1 tsp
  10. Refined oil - for frying
For batter
  1. Maida / All purpose flour - 1 1/2 tbsp
  2. Cornflour - 1 tbsp
  3. Rice flour - 1 tsp
  4. Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
  5. Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  6. Water - as required
  7. Salt - to taste

Method

Prepare a thick batter with the said ingredients. Dip the baby corn pieces in the batter so that it's well coated and then fry them in hot oil till it turns golden brown. In to the same oil (remove excess oil, if any) add the chopped onions and saute till it is soft and pink, add the ginger garlic paste and green chillies, saute for a minute or two. Add the capsicum and stir fry for another 2 -3 mins. Add the fried baby corn pieces, sauces and mix well altogether. Add salt if necessary. Switch off flame and add the lime juice, stir it once. Garnish with coriander leaves.

Sending this to
