Veggie Pizza




Pizza - an all time favourite. I make this either for dinner or usually as an evening time snack. I've always wanted to make the pizza dough from scratch, but unfortunately, I didn't have the patience to do so. I use the pizza base that's available at the store, and when I'm in the 'eat healthy' mood, i use the pizza base that's made out of wheat flour (at least that's what's written on the packet & i have to believe it).


Ingredients

Pizza base - 1
Paneer - 100gms, cut into cubes.
Onion - 1 small, cut into cubes & separate the layers.
Capsicum - 1/2 no. sliced thin.
Tomato sauce - 2 or 3 tbsp.
Olives - a few
Oregano - a little (optional)
Crushed chilly flakes - a little (optional)
Butter - 1 or 2 tbsp
Mozzarella/Pizza cheese - 1 cup, grated.

Method

Place the pizza base on a plate. Spread the tomato sauce evenly throughout the base. Sprinkle half of the grated cheese on top of the sauce. Place the onion pieces, capsicum and paneer on top of the cheese. For better taste shallow fry the paneer in little butter or oil. Place a few olives on top of the veggies. Sprinkle little oregano & chilly flakes on top. Add butter, either melted or simply cut into little pieces & place it here and there on the top. Put the remaining grated cheese over this. Place the base on an oven plate & cook it in the microwave till the cheese has melted and mixed well with the veggies. Approximately 10 - 12 mins in convection mode. Your veggie pizza is ready.
